Mellott – Mrs. Jennie (Booe) Wade, 73, wife of Wallace Wade, died of a heart attack in the family home here at 4:15 p.m. Sunday. She had been in failing health but her death was unexpected. Born at Veedersburg, she was married 52 years ago and the couple spent their early married life in Mellott and then lived in Montgomery County for many years before returning to Mellott three years ago. She was a member of the New Testament Church at Linden. Surviving with the husband, who is an invalid, are five sons: Russell of Ft. Wayne; Ralph of Indianapolis; Eugene and Wallace Jr. of Lafayette and Douglas of near Waynetown; four daughters, Mrs. George King of Clarks Hill; Mrs. Ruby Davis and Mrs. Clarence Briles of Lafayette and Mrs. Clifford Simpson of Crawfordsville; a brother, Boss Booe and a sister, Mrs. Effie Taylor, both of Veedersburg. - kbz

Mrs. Jennie Booe Wade, 73, died unexpectedly Sunday at her home in Mellott following a heart attack. Born Sept 28, 1885 in Veedersburg she was the daughter of Solom and Emeline Thomas Booe. She was married approximately 52 years to Wallace Wade who survives. They spent their early married life in Mellott before moving to Montgomery County. They returned to Mellott about 3 years ago following retirement. Mrs. Wade was a member of the New Testament Church in Linden, Indiana. She had been in ill health several years. Other survivors include five sons: Russell of Ft. Wayne; Ralph of Indianapolis; Eugene and Wallace both of Lafayette and Douglas of Waynetown; four daughters: Mrs. George King of Clarks Hill; Mrs. Ruby Davis and Mrs. Clarence Eriles of Lafayette and Mrs. Clifford Simpson of Crawfordsville, a brother, Boss Booe of Veedersburg; a sister, Mrs. Effie Taylor of Veedersburg and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services were held Wednesday at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. RH Peters officiated. Burial was in Rose hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. – kbz
