James A. WADE, one of our most highly esteemed citizens of the Antioch Neighborhood died Monday morning, Nov. 5, 1894 at the age of 69 years, 4 months and 14 days. He was born in Marion Co, Ky June 21, 1825 and came with his parents to Fountain Co, Indiana in 1828, settling on the farm where he has since lived and died. He joined the Christian Church at the age of 17 and lived a faithful and prominent member until death. He marr. Miss Nancy McBROOM on April 25, 1845 and unto them were born 10 children, four now living. A family of 7 children were raised to be grown. On June 14, 1889, death broke the family circle and claimed as its victim, Hattie, E, wife of JS STOCKDALE and since then one bro. and one sister died. Mr. Wade leaves a wife, 3 sons and one daughter, a sister and a host of friends to mourn his death. The funeral took place on Wed, 10;30 a.m. at the Antioch Church, conducted by Rev. JC MYERS of State Line, ILL and the remains were laid to rest in the Hillsboro cemetery, by undertaker Brown of Waynetown. He died Jan 27, 1940.
