Eugene C. Wade, brother of Mrs. Clifford Simpson of Crawfordsville, had a fatal heart attack at 9 p.m. Monday while visiting a brother at Lafayette. He was 46. Mr. Wade lived most of his life in the Lafayette area. He and his family moved to Alabama about six months ago but were planning to move back to this area. Mr. Wade was employed as a truck driver for Minardo Brothers of Lafayette. He was born July 18, 1918, at Oxford. In 1954, he was married in Crawfordsville to Omega Lemmon. Survivors include the widow; a son, Leslie at home; two daughters, Dale Carla and Beverly Ann, both at home; the brother at whose home he died, Wallace W. Wade, and another brother, Douglas Wade of Mellott; four sisters, Mrs. Simpson, Mrs. George King of Clarks Hill and Mrs. Ruby Davis and Mrs. Clarence Briles, both of Lafayette. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday at Hippensteel Funeral Home in Lafayette with Rev. John Mullen officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. --typed by Walt W
