Mrs. Isa Livengood and Mrs. Joy McKey, both of Hillsboro, received a message Monday telling of the death of their brother-in-law, Walter L. Smith, of Temple, Texas at 3 a.m. Monday, Oct 3.  Mr. Smith, a retired
railway mail clerk, entered a hospital in Temple on Sept 30 as a medical patient suffering from a heart attack.
He was married to Miss Ray (Bob) Miller, of Hillsboro, and all their married life has been spent in Texas.  The widow, a daughter, Mrs. Hershel Sands of Victoria, Texs and two granddaughters survive.  Mr. Smith has frequently visited in HIllsboro where he is known by several.  The funeral service was held in Temple on Tuesday with burial in that city.
