SMITH, Ruby Myers - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Ruby V. Smith of Covington, age 81, died Sunday morning, April 4, in Americana Nursing Home at Danville, Illinois. She was born at Yeddo, October 15, 1900, the daughter of Perry and Myrtle Philpott Myers. November 7, 1917, she married Eddie Smith, who died September 4, 1970.

  Surviving are two daughters, Mildred Heath of Danville, Illinois and Mary Pearl Fogleman of Veedersburg; a daughter-in-law, Pearl Smith of RR 1, Covington; two sisters, Mary Mintz of Leesburg, Florida, and Helen Campbell of College Station, Texas; three brothers, Ralph Myers of Crawfordsville, Harry Myers of Yeddo and Robert Myers of Chicago; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. William Ringgold officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington.-s
