Robert Warren Smith, 65, who with his family formerly resided in the vicinity of Hillsboro died Monday at 6 p.m. at his home in Williamsport. He had been ill with a heart ailment for the past four and one half years. Mr. Smith was born in West Lebanon, Jan 1, 1890 son of John and Josephine Sorrels Smith. He had resided in Williamsport since 1933 and was a retired core maker. On April 11, 1914 he was married to Hazel Ethel Bever who survives. Other survivors are a son, Lawrence D. at home; three daughters: Mrs. Brenda Fraker of Lafayette; Miss Norman Kay Smith of Danville, Ill and Mrs. Ella L. Odle of Fountaintown, Ind; three sisters, Mrs. Tressie Bever of Buchanan, Mich; Mrs. Ines Barfelt of Attica and Mrs. Ada Whittington of Indianapolis; two brother, Charles of Florida and Everett of Arizona and five grandchildren. Funeral service was held at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Williamsport at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Carlisle Mason officiating. Burial was in Riverside cemetery. – kbz
