SMITH, Ray M. - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Attica – Ray M. Smith, 79 of Rt 4, Attica, died at 8:15 a.m. Thursday in Community Hospital, Williamsport where he had been a patient three days. He was in ill health three months.  He spent most of his life at Rt 4, Attica, except for a three-year residency in Danville, Ill.  He attended Attica school and was married in 1918 in Veedersburg to Hazel Hickman who survives. Mr. Smith was employed by the Fountain County Highway Department and served one year as superintendent. He was a member of the Fountain Christian Church. Surviving with the widow are three sons, Ray Jr. of Rt 4, Attica, Robert D. of Westfield and George K. of Lafayette, and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Probey of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – kz
