Mrs. Pearl Anna Smith, age 63, a resident of 106 Elm Dr. the past three years, died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at Lakeview Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since June 4. She was born July 30, 1899, the daughter of Gilbert and Rena Keller Hall, in Boyd County, Ky. She married Garcia Smith Nov. 22, 1916. A member of the Christian Union Church, she had been a resident of the Christian Union community for 36 years before coming to Covington in 1960. She is survived by her husband of 106 Elm Dr., Covington; three daughters, Mrs. Arla Faye Sollers of Havana, Ill., Rt. 2; Mrs. Barbara Carter of Springfield, Ore., and Mrs. Patricia Goodwald of Saratoga, Wyo.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two children, Charles Otis and William Alfred. Mrs. Smith was the last of a family of six children. Funeral services were held today, Wednesday, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Glenn Ray and the Rev. Edgar Allen officiated. Burial was in the Hopewell Cemetery with the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in charge. --typed by Walt W
