VEEDERSBURG-- Mrs. Marguerite Smith, 71, of 902 1/2 N. Vermillion St., Danville, Ill., formerly of this community, died at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, where she underwent surgery a week ago. She was born in Veedersburg Sept. 25, 1894, a daughter of Thomas and Martha Black Ansberry. She was a graduate of Veedersburg High School and for years was employed as a switchboard operator at the telephone exchange here. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert E. Clark of Danville, Ill.; two grandsons, and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Hill of Veedersburg and Miss Elizabeth Ansberry of Danville, Ill. The body is at the Fishero Funeral Home, where arrangements are incomplete. --typed by Walt W

Veedersburg, Ind. (CNS) -- Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Fishero Funeral Home for Mrs. Marguerite Smith, 71, of 902 N. Vermilion, Danville, a native of Veedersburg. She died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. The Rev. James Dyson will officiate. Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. --typed by Walt W
