VEEDERSBURG, Ind. –
Services were at 2 p.m. EST today at Florin Funeral Home in Benton Harbor,
Mich., for Miss Maisie Smith, 75, of Benton Harbor, former Veedersburg
resident. Miss Smith died Friday Dec. 7, 1973 at Mercy Hospital in Benton
Harbor. She had been ill several years and had spent the past seven years at
Shorham Nursing Home at St. Joseph, Mich. Burial was at Benton Harbor. Born
Dec. 11, 1897, at Attica, she was the daughter of Daniel V. and Myrtle Wilson
Smith. She attended area schools and graduated from business college at Brazil,
Ind. She was employed by the Veedersburg bank in 1922. Survivors include three
sisters, Miss Florence Smith and Miss Mildred Smith, both of Veedersburg, and
Mrs. Oscar Liddil of Brazil, a brother, Donald V. Smith of Elkhart, and three
