Perrysville, Ind.-- Mrs. Lora Belle Smith, 87, died at 3:50 p.m. yesterday (Feb. 1, 1967) at the Alward Nursing Home in Attica where she had been a patient two weeks. She had been in ill health three months. Born Aug. 3, 1879, in Highland Township, she was the daughter of William and Mary Goff McLaughlin. She was married Oct. 30, 1897, to George Smith, who died Aug. 8, 1955. A life resident of the Perrysville community, she attended the Perrysville Methodist Church. She was a member of the Evergreen Camp 9601, Royal Neighbors of America, in Perrysville. Survivors include eight children: Mrs. Vera Crisp of Perrysville, Mrs. Grace Patton of Covington Route 2, Mrs. Maizie Judson of Indianapolis, William D. of Danville, Mrs. Ona Kurich of Lansing, Ill., Mrs. Edith Summers of Veedersburg, Guy of Poplar Bluff, Mo., and Glenn of Perrysville. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two children. Services will be at 2 p.m. EST Saturday at the Perrysville Methodist Church. The Rev. Donald True will officiate. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington after 3:30 p.m. Friday. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the services. -- typed by Walt W
