Services for Leotis S. Smith, 73 Indianapolis will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Conkle Speedway Funeral Home, with calling from 3-9 p.m. today. He died Monday in his home. He had been a tool-die maker and machinist for Wallace Tool & Die Co 30 years retiring in 1975. He was a member and past master of Speedway Masonic Lodge and past worthy patron of Speedway Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. Previous to his going to the Navy being veteran of World War II, he and Bernice remarried (Journal-Courier 22 April 1937 p 21). Born in Hoopeston, Ill, he had lived in Indianapolis since 1942. Survivors: wife, Bernice Myers Smith; son, Michael L. Smith.
Surviving, are: a daughter, Nancy Jean (Bob) Stwalley, rural Crawfordsville; a granddaughter, Heather (Doug) Lovold, rural Crawfordsville; a great-grandson, Joseph; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Guy and Earl.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Friday) in Woodrow Funeral Homer, Kingman, with Kenneth Majors officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington."–
