Covington—Lena C. Smith, 93, Covington, died at 5:55 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 1989, at Community Hospital, Williamsport.
  She was born March 23, 1895 at Cornettsville, the daughter of William Henry and Laura A. Myers Cornett. She was married to Charles C. Smith who preceded her in death in 1967.
  She had been a resident of Covington the past 41 years. She was a graduate of Bicknell High School in 1913. She was a head baker and retired from General Electric of Ohio.
  She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness Church of Veedersburg and a member of Business and Professional Women of Covington and past president for two years.
  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Jeen) Martin, Covington; six grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Charles R., who died Dec. 5, 1988, her parents, three sisters and a brother.
  Cremation followed by graveside services will be at a later date at Mount Hope cemetery in Covington.
