Williamsport – Mrs. Hazel E. Smith, 87, a retired dressmaker and seamstress, died at 1:10 a.m. Saturday
Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Ill. She had been ill one year. Born near Newtown, she lived at Williamsport from 1933 until 1966. She then moved to Danvill, Ill where she resided at 3716 Illini Ave. In 1914 she was married at Attica to Robert W. Smith who died in 1955. A dressmaker and seamstress, she was employed at McDermerd Department Store at Attica many years. Mrs. Smith was active in Farmers Chapel United Methodist Church at Danville and Williamsport UM Church. She was a member of Warren County War Mothers, Community Hospital Guild and Home Demonstration Club. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Russell (Norma) Mayer of Danville, Ill., Mrs. Harry (Berdena) Fraker of Lafayette and Mrs. Ralph (Ella) Odle of Brookston.

Smith, Mrs. Hazel E – Friends will be received after 4 p.m. today at Fisher Funeral Home, Williamsport. Services 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Fisher Chapel, the Rev. Dennis Divan officiating. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Also surviving are five grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A Son, Lawrence D. Smith preceded in death in 1977. A brother and two sisters also preceded in death. Those so desiring may contribute in memoriam to Warren County or American Cancer Societies.
