Veedersburg -- Mrs. Hattie Smith, Rt 1, Kingman died Wednesday at age 94. She had lived most of her life in Fountain County. She was born August 12. 1871 in Parke County to Samuel and Margaret Marts Heath. On March 3 , 1889 she married Preston Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, a sister and 3 brothers. One daughter, Mrs. Margaret Easterday Rt 1, Kingman survives. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p. m. at Sever Mortuary in Veedersburg with Rev. Lowell Barnard officiating. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 2 and 4 and 7 and 9 p. m. Thursday.
