KINGMAN -- Harold Smith, 52, Millcreek Township (Fountain County) trustee, died of a heart ailment Saturday morning in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill., where he had been a patient three days. Born June 11, 1912, in Fountain County, he was a son of Ray and Blanche Miller Smith. He was married Dec. 25, 1934 to Verna Allen. Mr. Smith was a farmer and auctioneer. He appeared as auctioneer in many sales in western Indiana and the Danville, Ill., area. He was a member of the Kingman EUB Church. Survivors include the wife; a son, Kenneth of near Kingman; the stepmother, Mrs. Ada Smith of Kingman; a grandson and a brother, Eugene, and sister, Mrs. Dorothy Swaim of near Kingman. The parents preceded Mr. Smith in death. Funeral services are announced for 2 p.m. EST Tuesday at the Centennial Church a mile east of Yeddo. Rev. Bennett Fulp of Crawfordsville, assisted by Rev. Yung Chen, will officiate and burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church for an hour preceding the services. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Woodrow Funeral Home in Kingman.

Born June 11, 1912; in Fountain County, he was a son of Ray and Blanche Miller Smith. He was married Dec. 25, 1934 to Verna Allen. He was a graduate of the 1930 class of Kingman High School.
Mr. Smith was a farmer and auctioneer. He appeared in many sales in western Indiana and the Danville Ill. area.
He was a member of the Kingman EUB Church.
