SMITH, Glen "Red"

						Glen "Red" Smith, died Wednesday afternoon about 3
						o'clock in an Indianapolis hospital (Central State) where he had been a
						patient the past 4 months.  Mr. Smith, a life long resident of
						Veedersburg had been
						
						a mechanic and painter until his illness.
						
						He was born in Veedersburg March 10, 1903, the son of (James
						according to his death Certificate #34668) Bert and Vada Harper Smith
						and attended the Veedersburg schools.  He was married June 3, 1937
						to Isma Zimmerman, also of Veedersburg.  Surviving is the wife, the
						parents and an adopted daughter, Joyce; two brothers, Roy of Veedersburg and
						Everett, of Lapel and a sister, Mrs. Phynus Merryman of Covington.
						
						The body will be taken to the home of the parents at 1 o'clock
						Friday afternoon and funeral services will be at 2:30 Saturday at
						the EUB CHurch with Rev. Todd and Rev. Bensmiler, officiating.
						Burial will be in Rockfield Cemetery with Fisher Funeral Home in charge.
