Fred Smith, 46 years old, Veedersburg man, died suddenly
Friday evening at his home on Rt 3 after working that day at the Fountain
Foundry.
Coroner Charles Fishero attributed the death to a heart
attack. Mr. Smith felt ill after arriving home from work and went to bed
before supper and died before a doctor could arrive.
Mr. Smith was born May 6, 1900 (son of John and Josie
Correls Smith) at Noblesville, Ind. He is survived by his widow, Mrs.
Grace ((Luse) Smith; four sons, Harold, Kramer; and Donald; William and
Robert at home; one daughter, Mrs. Catherine Harker, Stone Bluff; five
brothers, Jess in Washington; Everett, Phoenix, Ariz; Robert,
Williamsport; Warren, Attica and Charles, Muncie; three sisters, Mrs.
Tressie Bweavers in Michigan; Mrs. Inez Barfell, Attica and Mrs. Glenna SMith
in Washington.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the family
residence and burial was in the Riverside cemetery. --- kbz
