SMITH, Eston - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Wallace -- Eston Smith, 73 of Wallace was fatally stricken Saturday afternoon while visiting in Crawfordsville.  A native of Waukegan, Ill, Mr Smith was the son of Arch and Sarah Krout Smith. He was married to Lela Cornell June 2, 1917.  He was a member of the Wallace Lutheran Church and had been a farmer in Jackson Township, Fountain County.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Lawler; a sister Miss Bessie Smith, RR Crawfordsville; two brothers, Hughston of Clarks Hill and Loren of Indianapolis and 3 grandsons, David, Thomas and Dean. He was preceded in death by his wife and two sisters.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wallace Lutheran Church with Rev. Alden Kieffer of Winchester officiating.  Burial will be in the adjoining Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Services Funeral Home, Waynetown after 2 p.m. today.
