SMITH, Esther Karst

Esther L. Smith, 76, Marshall, Ind., died Saturday, February 8th in the Vermillion Co. Hospital at Clinton. She had been in failing health for six months and had been seriously ill the past weeks.

She was born in Fountain Co., July 18, 1898, the daughter of John and Martha (Best) Karst. She was a graduate of Williamsport High School. On July 31, 1923, she married Mike G. Smith, at Attica.

Mrs. Smith had been residing in Kingman for the past month. There are no survivors.

Funeral services were held at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home at Waveland, 1 p.m., Feb. 12 with Father Laurence Mirand officiating.

Burial was in Bethany Cemetery, Marshall.
