SMITH, Emily M. Carns - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Emily M. Smith, who lived in the Yeddo community for a number of years passed away Thursday Sept 4. She had also been a resident of Moline, Ill for several years.  She was born May 31, 1873, in Parke County, near wallace daughter of Eli Newlin Robbins and Mary Jane Carns.  Her husband, Francis Austin preceded her in death Oct 11, 1844 (sic).  She is survived by two sons, Fred of Danville, Ill and Vern Smith of Chicago, Ill; one brother, Ellsworth Robbins of Veedersburg, one sister, Mrs. Grenville Lightle of Veedersburg and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday at Centennial UB Church.  Burial in Harveysburg Cemetery. Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home of Covington is in charge.   --- kbz
