VEEDERSBURG – Mrs.
Elizabeth Smith, who observed her 98th birthday last Dec. 15, died Friday at
the home of her son-in-law, Lewis Krumps at Peoria, Ill., where she had made
her home in recent years. Her husband, Ora Smith, preceded her in death. The
couple lived in Veedersburg for several years while he was employed as section
foreman on the New York Central Railroad. An only daughter, Mrs. Grace Krumps,
preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at Peoria, Ill., with
burial at Mahomet, Ill. – jlr
