SMITH, Edgar - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Edgar Smith, age 73, retired farmer of the Kingman district, died at 5 pm. Sunday at his home near Yeddo, following an illness of several months.  Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Baptist Church north of Kingman. The Spencer Funeral Home Kingman directed interment in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg.

Mr. Smith was born December 27, 1873 in Fountain County, son of Charles and Carolyn Smith, and was married August 11, 1895 to Rosa Palmer who died April 26, 1946.  Surviving are two sons, Dr. Byron Smith, Kingman, and Earl Smith of Yeddo; and a brother, David Smith, Covington. There are also four grandchildren.  --- kbz
