Tom Hightower of Hillsboro, received word of the death of his brother-in-law, Burton Smith, 82, who died at his home in Florida. Death was due to a heart attack.

He was married to Anna Hightower of Waynetown and they resided on a farm in Michigan for a number of years and about 10 years ago moved to Florida where they have since resided.

Survivors include the widow; a son and two daughters.

Funeral services and burial will take place at Sheridan, Mich., on May 2nd.

Mr. and Mrs. Hightower frequently visited them in their Florida home. Mr. Smith was also a cousin of Mrs. Josephine Akin, and had other relatives in this area. - jz
