Covington (CNS)—Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Covington Methodist Church for Mrs. Anna H. Smith, 86, a life resident of Fountain County who died at 4 a. m. Tuesday (Aug. 16, 1966) at an Oakland, Calif. hospital. The body will be taken to the church an hour before services. The Rev. Donald Ashley will officiate with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the Hegg Funeral Home after noon Friday. Mrs. Smith had been seriously ill since June. She had spent the past five winters in Oakland with her daughter. She was born Jan. 22, 1880, a daughter of William T. and Margaret Donaldson Conner in Oakland, Ill. She was married to E. A. Smith on Jan. 2, 1900 at Perrysville, Ind. He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1959. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Conner of Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Margarite Cottington of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Mrs. Letha Stone of Oakland; two sons, Russell of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and Paul of Charlotte, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Covington Methodist Church, the Win One Class, the Woman's Society of Christian Service, and Royal Neighbors.   --typed by Walt W

Funeral services for Mrs. Anna H. Smith, age 86, a life resident of Fountain County, who died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, in an Oakland, Calif., hospital, were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Covington Methodist Church.  The Rev. Donald Ashley of Attica, former minister at the Covington church, officiated and burial, with the Hegg Funeral Home in charge, was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington.
Mrs. Smith had been seriously ill since June. She had spent the past five winters in Oakland with her daughter.  Her home in Covington was at 619 Park Avenue.
She was born Jan. 22, 1880, the daughter of William T. and Margaret Donaldson Conner in Oaklannd, Ill.  She was married to E.A. Smith on Jan. 2, 1900 at Perrysville.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1959.  She was a member of the Covington Methodist Church, the Win One Class, the WSCS, and Royal Neighbors of America.
Mrs. Smith is survived by: three daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Conner of Oakland, Calif., Mrs. Margarite Cottington of Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Mrs. Letha Stone of Oakland; two sons, Russell of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Paul of Charlotte, N.C.; 14 grandchildren.
