Attica – James Fredrick Small, 66, died at 11:15 a.m. Saturday at his home on West Monroe. He had been ill two years and bedfast for four months. Born at Waynetown, he was married in 1948 to Ruth Cooksey. He was an active political leader and served as trustee of Logan Township for several years and also as trustee of David Township. He was an auctioneer and a school bus driver for a number of years. Surviving with the widow are one son, James Edwin and a daughter, Nancy Jane, both at home; one brother George of Lafayette and a step brother, John Howerton of Kendalville. – kbz
