VEEDERSBURG – Mrs.
Naomi O. Slusser, 73, lifelong resident of Veedersburg died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday
at Hillscrest Hospital in Vincennes, Ind., where she had been a patient two
years. Mrs. Slusser resided at 114 W. Third St., in Veedersburg and before her
retirement was assistant cashier of the Veedersburg State Bank for 30 years.
She was a member of the Veedersburg First Christian Church, the Thursday Night
Bridge Club and a former member of the Veedersburg Daughters of the American
Revolution. Mrs. Slusser was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at Oxford
University, Oxford, Ohio. Born April 8, 1898, in Veedersburg, she was the
daughter of John L. and Olive C. Death Osborn. She was married Aug. 20, 1922, to
Charles T. Slusser in Veedersburg. He preceded her in death. Survivors include
a sister, Mrs. Lela Furr of Veedersburg, and two brothers, Lawrence Osborn and
Richard Osborn, both of Veedersburg. Mrs. Slusser was also preceded in death by
a brother, Fred Osborn. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday
at the Parham Funeral Home here. Rev. Mike Smythers will officiate. Burial will
be in Rockfield Cemetery near Veedersburg. Friends may call at the funeral home
after 2 p.m. Tuesday. – jlr
