Hillsboro - Lois C. SLOAN, 78, of Rt 1 Waynetown, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday in Culver Union Hospital, Crawfordsville. She was a member of the Mellott Church of Christ, Cain Twp Home Ec Club and 50-year-member of Fern Chapter 194 Order of Eastern Star. She attended Newtown HS. Mrs. Sloan was born 19 July 1910 in Tippecanoe County to Emmett and Quiteria Jaggers Cain. She married Kenneth B. Sloan 18 Aug 1932. He died 10 Jan 1978. Survivors include two sons, Roy and Dale; a daughter, Mrs. Vivian Strawser 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services are for 2 p.m .Sunday in Crumley-Williams FH at Hillsboro, Rev. William Chapman officiating; burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz

Waynetown—Lois C. Sloan, 78, Route 1, Waynetown, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 1989, in Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, where she had been a patient one day.

  She was born July 19, 1910 in Tippecanoe County. She was married Aug. 18, 1932 to Kenneth B. Sloan, who preceded her in death Jan. 10, 1978.

  She had resided most of her adult life in the Waynetown area. She attended Newtown High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fern Chapter Order of eastern Star and the Cain Township Home Ec Club. She attended the Mellott Church of Christ.

  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Vivian) Strawser, Tampa, Fla.; two sons, Roy K., Lafayette, and Dale, Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home, Hillsboro, with the Rev. William Chapman officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
