SLINKER, Raymond Leonard

Raymond Leonard Slinker, Jr., 22, of Attiea; died at 5:30 p.m. last Friday, January 24, in the Home Hospital in Lafayette about one and a- half hours after an automobile collision on Indiana 25 north of Odell.  He was the driver of one of three cars involved in the accident.  Two other persons were injured.
William O. Slauter, 52, also of Attica, was seriously injured, riding with Slinker.  They were en-route home from their employment in Lafayette.  Miss Elsie Delaney, 70, of Lafayette, another driver, was less seriously hurt.
Joseph Vaughn, 53, of Evansville, told State Trooper Donald Cox that the two cars had collided almost head-on - in Slinker's southbound lane and that he was unable to avoid striking Miss Delaney's car but he was uninjured.  Damage to 'the Delaney car was estimated at $1,000 to $1.500, and to Vaughn's car about $1,000.
