Mrs. Josie B. Slinker, age 74, of Attica, died at -12:15 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at the Community Hospital In Williamsport. She had been a patient there nine days.
Mrs. Slinker was born Oct. 1, 1893, in Tompkinsville, Ky. She moved to Attica 46 years ago. She was married in 1911 at Munsfordville, Ky., to Jack Slinker, who died in 1960. She was a member of the Love and Friendship Club for 25 years.
Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Dailey and Mrs. Pauline Bouldin, both of Lafayette, and Mrs. Mary Haas of Attica; five sons, Ray, Leon, Jack, Clint and Robert, all of Attica; three brothers, Hobart West, Willie West and Raymond West, all of Louisville; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Vowels, Mrs. Beulah Sanders and Mrs. Maude James, all of Louisville; 34 grandchildren, 38 great - grandchildren and five great - great - grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today, May 24, at the DeSutter Funeral Home, Attica. The Rev, Harry Randolph officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery there.
