SLAZAS, George R - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

VEEDERSBURG -- George R. Slazas, 74, Rt. 1, Veedersburg, a retired farmer, died at 1:55 this morning in Lakeview Medical Center at Danville, Ill. Mr. Slazas was a member of New Liberty Christian Church, Veedersburg Lions Club, Fountain County Farm Bureau and the Hilltoppers Senior Citizens Club at Kingman. He was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. He was born July 3, 1904 at Georgetown, Ill., a son of Joseph and Fanny Witt Slazas. He was married June 24,1933, at Indianapolis to Cleo Glover. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Tunin of Rt. 3, Crawfordsville; a son, James of Tustin, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Clair (Lucy) Crumley of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Nell Nusbaum of Lancaster, Ohio; a brother, John of Rt. 2, Kingman; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro.   --typed by Walt W
