Miss Maggie Slattery, 922 Fifth St., a resident of Covington 87 years, died Sunday, Nov. 27. She had lived her entire life in the house where she was born on Sept. 20, 1873. Miss Slattery, the daughter of John and Elizabeth McCabe Slattery, was one of a family of 11 children. She attended the Covington schools and was graduated from Covington High School in 1891. She attended Indiana Normal College in Covington and was graduated in the teachers course in 1893. She taught school in the rural schools of Fountain County for seven years. --typed by Walt W
