LAFAYETTE — Mrs. Barbara Van Dame Slagle, 42, died at Home Hospital in Lafayette after an illness of six months. She had been a hospital patient since Jan. 18. Born June 5, 1923, at Attica, she was the daughter of Joseph and Marie Pearson Van Dame. She had been employed by the A & P as a clerk for several years. She was a member of the Ladies of the Moose at Attica. The survivors include the mother, Marie Landon of Attica; her step-father, Clair Landon of Attica, and three sisters, Mrs. Harold Martin and Mrs. George Wolf Jr., both of Attica, and Mrs. Glen Switzer of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the DeSutter Funeral Home in Attica, with Ronny De Long of the Christian Church in charge. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Attica. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Tuesday. --typed by Walt W
