Waynetown - Mrs. Zadia Simpson, 77, a resident here the last nine years, died at 3:11 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville, where she had been a patient since last Friday. Her condition had been serious three weeks. A daughter of John and Cynthia Hayden Covault, she was born Oct. 31, 1891 near Stone Bluff. She married Clarence Darling, who died in * 1948 . On Jan. 29, 1959 she married George W. Simpson at Danville, Ill. He survives with two daughters, Mrs. Fay Wilson of Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Gertrude Fletcheer of El Monte, Calif.; a number of grandchildren, including Mrs. Rita Hansborugh of Danville, Ill., and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and two step-sons, J. C. Simpson of Waynetown and Ralph A. Simpson of Cleveland. Five brothers preceded her in death, two of them in infancy. Mrs. Simpson was a member of Stone Bluff United Methodist Church and was educated in the schools of that neighborhood. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Servies-Thomas Funeral Home here, with Rev. Guy Tremaine officiating and burial in Osborne Prairie Cemetery north of Veedersburg.
