SIMONTON, Theodore

Rev. Theodore W. Simonton of RR 2, Williamsport, age 67, died Tuesday morning, April 5, in Covington Manor Nursing Home. He was born at Potomac, Illinois, March 10, 1916, the son of Richard T. and Sylvia Shoaf Simonton. December 23, 1940, he married Rosemary Ellen Gee, who survives. Rev. Simonton was a United Brethren minister and retired in 1979. He graduated from Huntington Bible College and pastured churches at Anderson and New Goshen. He was a member and former pastor of Galloway Chapel.
Also surviving are four daughters, Carol Edgar of Attica, Nancy Anderson of Oxford, Joyce Mortimore of Mellott and Brenda Castle of Ashdown, Arkansas; two sons, Ted of Rockville and Harlan of rural Williamsport; a sister, Lucinda Lucas of Bridgeport, Washington; two brothers, Howard and Robert of rural Williamsport; and 17 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Galloway Chapel in Warren County with Rev. Joel Hutson and Rev. Richard Fredricks officiating. Burial was in West Lebanon Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home of West Lebanon was in charge of arrangements. – thanks to S
