WILLIAMSPORT -- Funeral services for Mrs. Sylvia Simonton, age 71, who died at 10:07 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, at the home of her son, Robert, Williamsport Rt. 2, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home in Covington. The Rev. Irad Allen and the Rev. Grover Williams Jr., officiated. Burial was in the West Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Simonton was born Aug. 18, 1894, in Warren County, the daughter of William J. and Lucinda Delaney Shoaf. She was married Jan. 12, 1914, to Richard T. Simonton, who preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1965. She had resided in Warren County most of her life and from 1913 to 1935 in Vermilion County, Ill. She was a member of the Galloway Chapel Church in Warren County. Surviving Mrs. Simonton are: one daughter, Mrs. Lucinda Lucas of Anchorage, Alaska; three sons, Theodore, Howard and Robert, all of Williamsport Rt. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Letha Shore of Hoopeston, Ill., and Mrs. Christina Westfall of Williamsport; two brothers, Ellis Shoaf of Ordway, Colo., and Arnett Shoaf of West Lebanon. --typed by Walt W
