Arista M. Simmons, 72, of Mellott,died suddenly at 4:15 p.m. Satrurday as he was leaving work at the Fountain County sanitary landfill near Hillsboro.  Death was believed caused by a heart seizure. He had been in failing health for some time. Mr. Simmons had retired from the Indiana State Highway Department in 1962,  and had been in charge of the Fountain County landfill the past few years. He and his wife had been residents of Mellott the past 28 years, coming here from Kingman. Mr. Simmons was a member of the Yeddo United Methodist Church.  He was also a member of the Mellott Fish and Game Club. Born Jan 1 1899, in Fountain County, he was the son of Roy and Elizabeth Hutts Simmons.   He attended Yeddo, Cates and Mellott elementary schools. He was married June 10 1939 to Elizabeth Brown Clark.  The widow survives. Also surviving are two sons, Jack L. Simmons of Klamath Falls, Ore., and Edgar
L. Simmons of Lafayette; a daughter Mrs. Grace Coyner of Muncie; a stepson Donald R. Clark of Lafayette; 10 grandchildren and a great grandchild.   Mr.Simmons was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Crumley Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro.   Rev. Don Cutts of Buffalo, Ind., will officiate. He is a former minister of the Mellott United Church of christ which Mr. Simmons attended.  Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery at Clinton.  Friends may
