SIMMONDS, Inez Tuttle - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Inez T. Simmonds of RR 1, Kingman, age 93, died Tuesday evening, April 12, in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Illinois. She was born at Westville, Illinois, September 3, 1889, the daughter of Amos and Cora Belle Boone Tuttle. December 25, 1917, she married Charles J. Simmonds, who died October 1, 1957. Mrs. Simmonds had attended Grape creek Grade School and Utterback Brown Business College in Danville. She had been employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Company and in the business office of the Danville Commercial News.

  Surviving are a daughter, June Collins of Catlin, Illinois; a son, Charles W. of Kingman; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at Berhalter Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Terry Edele officiating. Burial was in Jones Grove Cemetery at Catlin, Illinois. – thanks to S
