Perrysville—Walter “Shorty” Sieczowski, 81, of Perrysville, died at 1:30 April 23, 1974 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Danville, Ill. He had been a patient for some time.
He was born April 22, 1893, in Poland, the son of Valentine and Elizabeth Sieczowski.
He had resided in Perrysville for over 40 years. He formerly resided in Chicago, Ill. He was a member of Walter Hoyt American Legion Post 350 of Perrysville.
Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, with the Rev. Henry Karg officiating. Burial was in Lower Mound Cemetery with military graveside rites. -s
