Newtown, Sept 26 – Funeral services for Thomas Shultz will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’[clock from the Newtown Presbyterian church; Rev. CC Ward of Alexandria, formerly of here, officiating. Burial in Newtown cemetery.

Newtown, Sept 25 – Thomas Shultz, 85, died at 2:10 o’clock this afternoon at his home here. Mr. Shultz was born near here and was married to Clara Gray in 1874. He later married Mrs. Eva Beckley. Both are now dead. He was a member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church and was the last surviving member of the Church’s building board. He also was a member of the Newtown town board. Surviving are three sons: Chalmer of Ft. Collins, Colo; and Murray and Horace, both of Newtown; a sister, Mrs. John Crawford of Newtown; two brothers, Lincoln of Jennings, La; and Edgar of Newtown; two stepsons and a stepdaughter. The body was removed to the Coffing & Robinson Funeral Home at Attica. - kbz
