Waynetown - Morris H. Shultz, 76, died Saturday in Culver Hospital after a six-weeks illness. The cause of death was listed as carcinoma.  Mr. Shultz was born July 16, 1878, one mile west of Newtown, the son of Clarence J. and Martha Duncan Shultz. He married Leona Messmore May 2, 1903 at her home west of Newtown.

The deceased farm in Montgomery and Fountain Counties until his illness.  He had been in failing health for nine years. A member of the Waynetown Methodist Church, he has lived in Waynetown for the last 30 years. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Paul Kunkel, Waynetown. Also surviving are a foster daughter, Mrs. Carl Palin, Jackson Heights; a sister, Mrs. Florence Frazier, Tonopahn; one grandson, Dale Kunkel, Waynetown and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown. Officiating will be Rev. Guy E. Tremaine who will be assisted by Rec. Kenneth Veters. Burial will follow in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home prior to the services. - kbz
