SHULTZ, Mary Evelyn Foster

Mrs. Mary Evelyn Shultz, age 87, of Newtown, died at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, at Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville , where she had been a patient for one week.

Mrs. Shultz was born near Newtown on June 26, 1879, the daughter of David and Ruth Stafford Foster. She was married June 3, 1908 to Chalmer Shultz who survives. She attended Oberlin (Ohio) College and DePauw University. She was a member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church.

Surviving, in addition to the husband, are: one son, Ralph of Arlington, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. C. V. VanDorn of Chadron, Neb., and Mrs. Barbara Moore of Denver; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m, Monday at the Crumley-Williams Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial was in the Newtown Cemetery.
