John Shuler, 81, retired auto service station and grocery operator in Veedersburg was found dead in bed Saturday morning. The attending physician attributed death to a heart condition. He was born near Wallace on February 26, 1876, the son of David and Mary Bowers Shuler, and he married the former Anna Algood on June 14 1900. Surviving besides the wife are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lindley of Crawfordsville, a son, Earl, of Toledo, Ohio, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was a member of the Scotts Prairie Christian Church. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg with the Rev. C. E. Smith officiating. Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery at Waynetown.
