Ed Shular, 77, an employee of the Kostanzer Furniture Store, died early Saturday morning at his home, 507 Hubbard St. He had been in failing helath several months. Born Oct 31, 1876, in Fountain County, Mr. Shular was the son of David and Mary Bowers Shular. He married Luella Dowden March 29, 1902. He was a member of the First Christian Church and carpenter's union. Mr. Shular had been associated with the Kostanzer store the past 20 years. Previously he was associate with the Crawfordsville Casket Company. Surviving are the widow; a son, Fred D. Shular, New York city; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Croy, Crawfordsville; two grandchildren, a great granddaughter; two brothers, Frank of this city and John, Veedersburg, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at the Proffit & Sons Funeral Home. Burial at Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.   --kbz
