Glenn Shuler, 81 of Wallace died at 3:40 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 1972 at his home. Born April 5, 1891 in Jackson Township Fountain County, he was the son of Charles M. and Miranda Leonard Shuler. He married Gertrude Kendrick April 8, 1917 at Wallace. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Merle of Columbus; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Duncan of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Opha Philpott of Wallace, four grandchilren and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Mr. Shuler taught school several years and was associated with the former Farmer State Bank, Wallace and Fountain Trust Company in Kingman for 22 years. He was also a farmer, a member of the Wallace Freedom Congregational Church since 1914, a member of the Wallace Masonic Lodge F & AM 495, the Wallace Low 12 Club and the Cabalistic Club. A 1912 graduate of Wallace HS, he attended Indiana State University at Terre Haute and Indiana University in Bloomington. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown, with the Rev. Alfred Dodds officiating. Burial will be in the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
