Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Shular, Crawfordsville, former resident of this vicinity, who died Tuesday at her home, were conducted Wednesday. She was married to Frank day with interment in Waynetown cemetery . Mrs. Shular, 71, native of Parke County was a sister of TW Brewer, and Mrs. Maude Phillips, Veedersburg. She was the daughter of Scott and Margaret Arrowsmith Brewer and spent her early life in this vicinity. She was married to Frank Shular, who survives, with two daughters and two sons. --– transcribed by kbz

Rev. George M. Anderson, pastor of the First Evangelical United Brethren church, was in charge of services held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, at Proffitt and Sons Funeral home for Mrs. Lillian Shuler. Mrs. Shuler, 71, died Monday afternoon at her home here. Mrs. Mima Line and Mrs. Willa Keeling sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "It is Well With My Soul", Mary June Cunningham was at the organ. Flowers were carried by Mrs. Carrie McDaniel, Mrs. Clara Hamm, Mrs. Lena Newnum, Mrs. Willa Keeling, Mrs. Angeline Cochran, Mrs. Icie Donica, Mrs. Estella Fyffe, Mrs. Viola Fox, Mrs. Ida McIntire and Mrs. Sarah Hampton. Pall bearers were Joseph Gillis, William McDaniel, George Hutchins, L.M. Hershberger, Fred Buck and Roy Carrell.
