SHUEY, Jacob

Stockwell—Jacob A. Shuey, 87, Stockwell, died at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 13, 1989, in Home Hospital, Lafayette. He had been a patient there the past four weeks.
He was born Oct. 5, 1901 in Buffalo, Ind. He moved to Tippecanoe County from Williamsport in 1922. He was married July 3, 1923 in Williamsport to Eva L. Howard Griner, who preceded him in death March 18, 1970.
He graduated from Williamsport High School. He had been a lock setter at Schwab Safe Co. before retiring in 1967.
He was a former member of Williamsport United Methodist Church and a 50-year member of F&AM Miller Lodge 268.
Surviving are one daughter, Margareth I. Shuey, Stockwell; two daughters-in-law, Alice and Lucille Griner; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters, two sons and one grandson.
Memorial services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Landis-Loy, Stockwell Chapel with the Rev. Jack Williams officiating. Burial was in Concord Cemetery. -s
