SHORT, Lawrence - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Williamsport - Lawrence Short, 47-year-old meat cutter and farmer died Monday in Community Hospital at Williamsport after an illness of 8 years. He had been hosopitalized the past 3 days. He was born Nov 21, 1910, in Fountain County, a son of Wilbert and Mary Warrick Short. He was married Dec 15, 1934 to Pauline Bannon. Mr. Short was a member of Mercer Lodge No 633 at Wingate and Antioch Christian Church at Mellott. He had lived in Williamsport the past 5 years. Survivors include the widow; a son, James L. Short of Mulberry; two daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Newton of Lafayette and Shirtley at home; a brother, Walter F. Short of Kohola, Hawaii; a sister, Mrs. Carrie Lough of Waynetown; 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wed at Antioch Christian Church at Mellott with Rev. Loren Hetrick officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at McCloud & Machledt Funeral Home at Williamsport.
