SHORES, Maye Ewing

Mrs. Maye Pearl Shores died at 4:45 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27 in Arcola, Ill. Born Aug. 23, 1892 in Cumberland Co., Ill. she was the daughter of Lyman E. and May Ralston Ewing and was a life resident of Arcola.
She was a graduate of Neoga High school and attended Eastern Ill. University of Charleston. She taught school five years prior to her marriage to Ralph R. Shores on Dec. 22, 1917 who died March 28, 1950.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Arcola.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Loren (Harriett) Paris of Newtown and Mrs. Roy Donald (Marjorie) Ghere of Arcola. There are six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A brother Clifford Ewing resides in Gays, Ill. A sister and brother preceded her in death.
Visitation was at the Shrader Funeral Home in Arcola on Wednesday and funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon in the First Presbyterian Church in Arcola with burial in the cemetery near there.
