Russell O. Shoaf, 77, of 401 Ben Hur Drive, a retired employee of RR Donnelley & Sons died Saturday in Culver Hospital after being a patient 2 weeks. He retired from the firm in 1966. He was a member of the First Christian Church Everyman's Bible Class and Masonic Lodge. Mr. Shoaf farmed in the Shannondale area prior to joining Donnelley's in 1928. He was born in Royal, Ill, on April 30, 1907 a son of William and Dora Johnson Shoaf. He was married to Iva Hole Feb 1, 1922 at Youngs Chapel Church north of Crawfordsville. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Betty Louise Shoaf at home; two brothers, Claude of Ladoga and Kenneth of Advance, and 4 nieces. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Burkhart Funeral Home with Rev. John Glosser officiating. Burial in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home. Masonic services will be at 8 o'clock tonight at the funeral home.
